Life starts out pretty simple but for those who don’t know here you are

...After going to the Lake Murray Evangelical Free Church for near a year and a half The Pastor Steve Sammons comes up to me before the service starts and asks me what I was doing that afternoon. Well since I lived tin the barracks I don’t have anything to do. He proceeded to ask me over to dinner that afternoon the 18th of December. Well a Marine living in the barracks is stupid to not want to go over to somebody’s house for a Home Cooked Meal. Anyway I said yes and that was that.

...During greeting though there comes a Slightly Different twist to the story. Janelle comes back and introduces herself my eyes about bug out of my head she had a red dress on that is to die for. But to top it off when we ended our conversation she had to add the fact that she was the pastor’s daughter. (She didn’t know Daddy just asked me over to dinner.) Well my mind starts to be intrigued and wow I get to go stare at her all afternoon I thought this could get really interesting. Church ended and I headed out to go back to the barracks to change I didn’t like the pants I was wearing and now I had to make a good impression so of course I'm going to change into something to grab her attention.

...Changing took me longer than I thought and I was supposed to be there at 1300 hrs and well I think I showed up at 1301 ( yea a Marine late that don’t happen ever!) Upon entering the house which I though was the pastors I find everybody sitting down at the table and one of the kids says “We’ve been waiting for you" so instantly I feel bad because I thought I was holding up the meal (only later to find out it was staged they just sat down as I arrived). The seating of the table was perfect at least I thought so until I realized how bad of a position I was in. Well I was right across the table from the most beautiful girl in the world and she’s wearing a dress that only adds a candy coated topping. Sweet until I found I couldn’t keep my eyes off her. Well to compensate for that I made sure I kept a conversation going with her grandpa who was on my right and Bethany’s husband on my left. Still didn’t work the greatest I know she caught me staring a couple times. The conversation was easy between the family, a lot of them wanted to know about the Marine Corps and what I did for a living. I don’t Think any of the them knew that I was going to end up Marrying Janelle 7 months later. (Although her Grandma says she saw something between us that day.)

...Upon conclusion of the meal I was going to a party of which I knew Janelle was invited but I didn’t know if she was going. So I asked to make it look like I thought she was already going. She changed her mind I guess after she found out I was going to be going.

...She had two other guys she didn’t know if she liked or not but I seemed to hit something that made her more interested. That night at the party all I could think about was “is she going to show up, when is she going to show up, why isn’t she here yet” I really wanted to see her again. Finally she showed up and still looking just as sweet as ever. We talked a little bit more. I went outside to talk with the guys there. I didn’t know everybody yet so I was talking or listening to there conversations and interjecting when it was something I knew about. Not to long after I went outside she came out which I thought it was the greatest because she was the only girl out there. I knew she had to be interested. The night ended.
